Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

Arizona is well known for its tough laws against motorists driving under the influence (“DUI”) of alcohol or drugs.  Officers are trained to patrol the roads, especially at night, in search of motorists that exhibit signs of “impairment.”  Once a motorist is stopped by an officer, the investigation begins with a series of questions and tests, which many times lead to charges.  A violation of the DUI laws is a serious problem for anyone unfortunate enough to be charged by these officers or even prosecutors.  The consequences for these violations depend on a variety of factors that every motorist should know.
